  In Jennifer Bardsley's new novel, GOOD CATCH (Montlake), Marlo Jonas and Ben Wexler-Lowrey have been feuding since grammar school. First Ben called Marlo an unkind name that stuck and then he poured cheetos on her hair turning it orange.  They end up at a wedding sitting at a table with both sets of parents who have a lot to say about everything, especially Marlo and Ben. Marlo has recently broken up with a guy again, so her father makes a bet that she can't date an average guy, saying she only goes for pretty boys. Ben's mom harps on him about dating beneath himself and challenges him to do better. They both agree to take their parents dare and to date someone new. Marlo and Ben end up online trying to find someone to date, but it doesn't exactly go the way either one of them expects. GOOD CATCH is a cute romcom that you'll gobble up in one sitting. Both characters are likeable and their parents are a hoot. The book cover gets you in the mood for a fall romance. ...

LAST GIRL GHOSTED taps into ghosting - the latest digital thing people do when they want to be gone from someone. In most cases its harmless, both parties just move on. But in some instances, like the one in Lisa's novel, LAST GIRL GHOSTED it turns deadly. Wren's not sure if she's the predator or the prey. I really enjoyed this book, as I do all of Lisa's novels.
