STALLING FOR TIME by Christy Hayes - Review & Giveaway

STALLING FOR TIME is the first book in Christy Hayes' "Kiss & Tell" series. College sophomore, Emily Dilbert has been best friends with Dylan Chamberlain since they were in the second grade. They know the other so well they finish each other's sentences. The thing is she's been dating Dylan's brother, college football star, Zach Chamberlain for the last five years. Yes, Dylan's brother. Emily's kind of sick of Zach's self-centered attitude and is trying to find the best time to break up with him. Emily and Dylan both know in their own ways, that they care more than a little bit about the other, but they've never discussed or acted upon it. But when Zach gives Dylan a ring to hold that he plans to give to Emily, everything goes to hell.

Emily accidentally finds the engagement ring in Dylan's backpack. Thinking he's going to propose to his sort-of girlfriend, Denise and feels she has to stop that. Emily proceeds to turn her life and that of her roommates, Kayla, Reagan and Shelby into a soap opera starring Emily. Everyone proceeds to make lots of assumptions and you know what that means. It's all about trying not to hurt the other, but honesty is no where to be found and eventually, everything comes to a head.

We can only imagine what happens next.

Christy's words:

I started this adventure called life in Northern Virginia. Thanks to a large computer company whose initials spell I’ve Been Moved, my family relocated to New Jersey, back to Virginia, to Florida, and finally to metro-Atlanta where my dad shuffled offices and the family stayed put.

After college at the University of Georgia (go Dawgs!) where I met the hero of my love story, we settled into the American dream with two kids and a menagerie of adorable dogs. We’ve added a couple of horses to round out the mix.

With no more teens in the house and the kids nearly grown, I spend my days cooking up all kinds of trouble for my flawed characters when I’m not walking my dogs at a local park, binge watching TV with my husband, or wondering when my kids will call their mom.

  2. I've known my BFF for over 30 years. While we had some rocky periods, we've always managed to come out of them stronger than before. I care a lot about her and only want good things to happen in her life. The fun thing for both of us is that we were catalysts in each other finding our husbands and were there when the other was first told about their potential mate. I met my husband through a friend of his, who was friends with some guys my BFF introduced me to. She met her husband through a woman in my neighborhood.
