THE SOUND of WINGS by Suzanne Simonetti - Review & Digital Giveaway
Author Suzanne Simonetti weaves together the stories of three women whose connections grow stronger as they as they look back at their pasts and the secrets they've kept from those they love in her new novel, THE SOUND of WINGS (SheWritesPress).
Goldie Sparrows faces declining finances, deteriorating health, and a late husband who torments her from the grave in the twilight years of her life. At seventy, she seeks refuge in her butterfly garden, which is filled with voices and memories from long ago.
Jocelyn Anderson struggles to write while embroiled in an international custody fight over her child. She seeks solace in the journal of her late mother-in-law. While reading, she discovers her ex-husband has a secret. Will she use this information in her battle?
Krystal Axelrod is living a life she never dreamed she could have. And yet the demons of a dysfunctional childhood and memories of mean girl cheerleading days cast their shadow over her ability to feel worthy. Does Goldie hold the key to Krystal’s path to freedom?
It took me some time to connect with THE SOUND of WINGS. At first I didn't associate with any of the women on their own, but once their lives started weaving together I fell in love with the story of sisterhood. Suzanne Simonetti tells a story of love, friendship, betrayal, and the risks we take in the pursuit of justice.
Suzanne Simonetti grew up in the New York suburbs just outside of the city. After earning a BS in marketing, she spent several years writing press releases, until she left her corporate job to focus on her passion for crafting fiction. She lives on Cape May Harbor with her husband.

The Last Letter by Rebecca Yarros. The friendship between 2 soldiers, one of who gets his sister to write letters to his buddy. It was a great story that had me bawling at the end.
