BACK AGAIN by Jamie Stoudt - Review & Giveaway

"Hey sailor, can a girl get a ride... ?"

Wendy Halstad died three years ago - bang, suddenly dropped dead from a heart attack. But here she is standing in front of her husband's car asking for a ride. After calming himself down and nearly dropping from a heart attack, as well, Michael opens her door and they head home. It seems, Wendy has some unfinished business to take care of.

Author Jamie Stoudt uses his novel, BACK AGAIN(Beaver'sPondPress) to take a look at a few things that have alluded us as human beings, including clean energy, world peace and bringing someone back from the dead.

Wendy doesn't wait around to get to work. She brings together leaders of the Christian, Jewish and Muslim faiths. Then she's convincing the head of the Navy to turn one of his aircraft carriers into a humanitarian vessel. She also attempts to lead society towards reducing reliance on fossil fuel.

Before you think, oh my gosh, what a heavy story, let me tell you Jamie Stoudt takes on these issues using his unique quirky sense of humor. You'll be thinking hard about what perceptions BACK AGAIN is stirring up in your mind, while laughing at the udder outrageousness of the whole thing.

Wendy and Michael certainly make the most of her time back.

Stoudt's second novel, DON'T GET CAUGHT will be published later this year.

Jamie grew up in Jamestown, North Dakota, and graduated from the University of North Dakota with a degree in Communications. His varied career experiences include owning and managing a Ford dealership, working as Director of Client Services for a technology company, doing home renovations as a licensed contractor, and serving as CEO, CFO, President, and Cook for Lefse By Lars, a concession-wagon enterprise which he was incorrectly convinced would make him rich.

He proudly owns the trophy for most times upside down in a season at the Jamestown Speedway, and he tirelessly works at extending his record of most things dropped out the back of a pickup. He’s been thrown from horses, cows, motorcycles, motor scooters, and one bar. He occasionally plays trombone in a jazz band, and even does some vocals when their real singer is ill, in surgery, or in jail. He also enjoys working on and driving old cars, and lives by the motto, ‘Never drive farther than you’re willing to walk’.

Jamie splits his time between Stillwater, Minnesota, and Ft. Myers Beach, Florida, and when in Minnesota is within five miles of his son, daughter, and his seven grandchildren.
