YOGA PANT NATION by Laurie Gelman - Review & Giveaway

Sassy and snarky Jen Dixon is back again in Laurie Gelman's, YOGA PANT NATION (HenryHolt) -  the third novel in her "Class Mom" series. FYI: All her books can be read as standalones.

Jen's a grandma! She finds herself sandwiched between her fifth grade son, Zach, her grown up daughters, Viv and Laura and her aging parents, Ron and Kay. There's a lot going on, which she has absolutely no control over and she's just a tad overwhelmed. She's entered her early fifties and is trying to figure out where she stands in this thing called life. I don't know about you, but I'm already exhausted!

Jen has been mandated by the school PTA president to oversee and raise ten thousand dollars for the school's fundraiser, while she babysits her delicious two year-old granddaughter three times a week, and assists Zach navigate being bullied at school. In addition, she helps out with the family's three yoga centers and is determined to qualify as a spin instructor. Seems like a lot to me, but in addition to that her husband's ex-wife shows up in her spin class and the other grandmother no one has met is coming for Christmas.

But if anyone can handle all of these responsibilities, it's Jen. With her quirky uniquely "Jen wit" to help her find the upside in just about any situation, it will all work out. Or will it?

I love Jen Dixon and if you don't already, you will. The emails she sends out to other class parents are a hoot and even when everything is going to hell, she finds the humor. Will there be a fourth book in the series? Laurie tells me she's working on the the book right now and we should be able to buy it ... soon!

Laurie Gelman was born and raised in the Great White North. She spent twenty-five years as a broadcaster in both Canada and the United States before trying her hand at writing novels. Laurie lives in New York City with her husband, Michael Gelman, and two teenage daughters. YOGA PANT NATION is her third book in the "Class Mom" series.

Thanks to Laurie we have one copy to giveaway. Just tell us if you wear yoga pants. I'd say I wear them 75% of the time. If I was just a bit thinner, it'd be 100%. We'll announce a winner soon. Good luck.
