THE BLOCK PARTY by Jamie Day - Review

From the outside, the wealthy Meadowbrook residents of Alton Road appear to live an idyllic life. But it's far from the truth. In Jamie Day's novel, THE BLOCK PARTY (StMartinsPress), the annual Memorial Day block party is where all the resident's secrets and scandals come out.

On the night of the party, the Meadowbrook community Facebook page lights up with posts reporting sirens descending on the desirable neighborhood. Bit by bit, the comments trickle in, some taking pleasure in their neighbors’ misfortune and others showing concern. The truth eventually comes out. It's not an accident, or a drowning, or a fire, as some had predicted. For the first time in forty years, there's been a murder in Meadowbrook.

THE BLOCK PARTY is pure fun, so grab a drink, find a comfy place to sit by the pool or beach and enjoy! It's an addictive delicious domestic suspense.

Jamie Day lives in one of those picture-perfect, coastal New England towns you see in the movies. And just like the movies, Jamie has two children and an adorable dog to fawn over. When not writing or reading, Jamie enjoys yoga, the ocean, cooking, and long walks on the beach with the dog, or the kids, or sometimes both.
